Never
judge a book by it's cover
I totally agree with this proverb. Very often we have misconceptions of
something, because we focus on it's appearence and overlook it's
content. Our misjudgments can cause different misunderstandings, misinformation and disadvantages.
Our misbeliefs are our weaknesses.
When we are ill-informed we can make unforgivable mistakes.
It will be harmful not only for us but for
others. Even the most relieble plan can misfire due
to under-esteemating situation because of wrong impression.
On the other hand we can overrate something and
truth will be very painful for us.
Many
hands make light work
My mother always says that two heads are
better than one. I wont retell all her usefulunforgetable pieces
of advice, but I was never ill-advised. The meaning
of this proverb is a bit different, but I always associate them. The predominant
idea is that it's easier to manage to do something with someone's help. Almost
like in Communist ideology which came from Marxism-Leninism.
But politics is far away from people's interactions.
It's simply better to do something with a partner.
And it's important not to overdo, because too
many cooks spoil the broth. Somebodies help will be never depreciated,
it can't be replaced, it can't be useless.
We can do everything and reach outstanding productivity,
but only with our friends' help.
People
who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones
Very often some people say unpleasant things.
And very often they should've reappraised them.
Such sort of reconsideration can
prevent lots of arguments and misunderstandings between
people. Because it's unfair to criticise others
if you have the same problems. It's immoral. Despite
the fact that principles of morality are tought
at school we can't observe reduction of examples
of such behaviour. It's a classical situation when
you are blamed for the fault which is not completely yours. What is the solution then?
If only I knew...
