I thought I'd drop you a line about the New Year party. It was awesome! I was a host so I layed on food and drink. Fortunately, it was cheap enough, basides I asked others to make a contributionand bring something. I anticipated a lot of clearing up, which is a bit time-consuming, so I used disposable plates and cutlery.

I planned everything beforehand and asked some strong guys to keep our party without gatecrashers. Our celebrating took a while to warm up, and guests became more sociable proportional to amount of drunk alcohol. That's why the most short-sighted got drunk and carried away and started to tell about their lives and ex-boy/girlfriends everyone who was able to hear their drunk babble through deafing music. Of course some of them tried to drown out the music, but very quickly they got tired and spend the rest of the evening sleeping in unpredictable places.

So party livened up and everyone fancied it. Of course there were some loners who were quite awkward in company. Also I was happy that there were no cliqueys and everyone did enjoyed himself. So I must say that we had really interesting get-together and it was a pity that you didn't manage to join in.
